Terms of Service
Last updated: August 14, 2026
These Terms govern your use of CronAlive (the “Service”), a monitoring service for scheduled jobs and HTTP endpoints available at cronalive.com. The Service is operated by CronAlive, operated by an individual entrepreneur (“we”, “us”). Contact: support@cronalive.com.
By creating an account you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
CronAlive receives HTTP requests (“pings”) from your jobs, tracks whether they arrive on schedule, polls HTTP endpoints you configure, and sends alerts to the channels you set up. Feature descriptions live in the documentation and may change as the Service evolves; we will not remove a paid feature without notice to affected customers.
2. Accounts
- You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- One person or organisation per account; you may invite team members to your projects.
- You must be legally able to enter into this agreement in your jurisdiction.
- We may suspend an account that violates section 4, with notice where practicable.
3. Plans, billing and payment
Paid plans are billed in US dollars, monthly or yearly (yearly billing is discounted by 20%). Current prices are on the pricing section of the home page.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: Paddle provides all customer service enquiries relating to payment and handles returns. Paddle’s own terms apply to the payment transaction in addition to these Terms.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time from the app or by writing to support; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Applicable taxes (VAT, sales tax) are calculated and collected by Paddle based on your location.
- Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to attack, overload or probe systems you do not control — HTTP checks may only target endpoints you are authorised to monitor;
- circumvent plan limits, rate limits or billing;
- send unlawful content through alert channels, or use the Service to distribute malware or spam;
- resell the Service without a written agreement;
- interfere with the operation of the Service or other customers’ use of it.
Excess pings above the documented rate limits are discarded rather than billed; see Ping reliability.
5. Availability and support
We target 99.9% monthly availability of ping ingestion and aim to keep the ingestion path deployable independently of the dashboard. Current and historical availability is published on our status page.
The Service is provided “as is”. Monitoring is a safety net, not a guarantee: alerts depend on third-party networks and messaging providers we do not control. Do not rely on CronAlive as the sole safeguard for life-critical or safety-critical systems.
Support is by email at support@cronalive.com. Business plan customers receive priority handling.
6. Your data
You keep all rights to the data you send us. We process it to run the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can export your data as JSON and delete your account at any time from Security in the app; deletion is irreversible.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
8. Termination
- You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
- We may terminate or suspend an account for a material breach of these Terms, or for non-payment, with reasonable notice where practicable.
- On termination, data is deleted according to the retention rules in the Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email to account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. The current revision is always published on this page with its date; continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the new revision.
10. Contact
Questions about these Terms: support@cronalive.com. Payment and invoicing enquiries are handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record.
